Course Description
Conflicts at work often negatively affect enterprises and it takes managers much time and effort to deal with the conflicts. Being skilled in managing workplace conflicts not only improves relationships with employees or business partners but also enhances the competitiveness of individuals and enterprises.
The course is suitable for people who are accredited mediators or with basic knowledge of mediation. It covers workplace mediation concepts, principles, and skills. Students will be better equipped with the knowledge by engaging in diversified learning activities such as group discussions, real-life case studies and role-plays. The course enables students to strengthen their mediation skills to resolve workplace conflicts as a workplace mediator. In addition, by improving relationships with co-workers and business partners, efficiency and productivity at work will be greatly increased, which leads to a higher chance of promotion.
Upon completion of the course, graduates will be qualified to apply to be a Certified Workplace Mediator. The qualification of Certified Workplace Mediator not only advances individuals’ career development but also brings students opportunities to resolve workplace conflicts or develop policies for workplace conflict resolution in organizations across the world.

Certification
- Students attaining 80% attendance in the course and passing the end-of-course assessment will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.
- Candidates successfully passing the assessment are eligible to apply to be the Certified Workplace Mediators of IDRRMI with the presence of the Certificate of Completion or the Assessment Results within a year. The application fee will be HK$500 (effective date will be till 31 December at the year of application) and an annual fee will be HK$500.

| Terms and Conditions | A. Registration must be made by returning the completed online application form via the above Google Forms link and attaching payment proof (crossed cheque, bank deposit slip or FPS payment record) before the application deadline. Confirmation emails will be sent upon successful applications within TWO working days after the application deadline. No refunds will be arranged in all circumstances after the confirmation notification is issued.
B. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis according to valid applications. C. If an applicant has not received a confirmation email from the Secretariat of the Academy of International Dispute Resolution and Professional Negotiation (AIDRN) within TWO working days after the application deadline, the applicant will be on the waiting list. If AIDRN is unable to offer the applicant a place in the course, the Secretariat will cancel the cheque submitted by the applicant. If the application fee is paid by bank transfer, the Academy will issue a cheque to return the payment. D. Participants must sign in upon arrival and departure for attendance records. If a participant is late for more than 15 minutes, or leave more than 15 minutes early, he/she will not be qualified for the completion attendance requirement. E. If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted and remains in force within 2 hours before the class, the lesson will be postponed or cancelled. Rescheduled date, time, and venue of class will be announced in due course. F. AIDRN reserves the right to accept or reject any application, and its decision shall be final. G. AIDRN shall not be liable for any changes to the course time, venue, or instructor. |
